Google has come up with a new image generation tool that is capable of creating a photo in just 4 seconds of giving a prompt. That's the promise with the new Nano Banana 2 Lite image model, the newest and fastest model in the Nano Banana image generation. Google says that this new model has been designed for those developers who need to generate large numbers of AI images quickly without spending much. Regarding this new tool, Google said that this tool can generate AI images from text prompt in just four seconds, which makes it the fastest and cheapest Gemini image model till date. The biggest feature of Google's new image model is its speed.
This new tool (listed as Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite Image) is designed for fast-paced creative workflows, where latency and operating costs are more important than advanced reasoning. This model is great for rapid prototyping, brainstorming on visual ideas, creating large numbers of images.
Google Has also kept the price of this model very attractive, $0.034 (about Rs 3.22) per 1K resolution image. This makes it the most affordable option in the Nano Banana family for developers who are handling large-scale work or have tight budgets. Despite prioritizing speed, Google says the model follows prompts reliably, characters are consistent across images, and text in images is easy to read.
This new image generation tool is now available through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, and Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. Google is also bringing it in its consumer services, which include AI Mode in Search, Gemini App, Google Photos, NotebookLM, Google Flow and Google Ads.
