He said that under this scheme, women of general category will get Rs 1000 and Dalit mothers will get Rs 1500. Money will always come under this scheme and this scheme will not be withdrawn.
During this, Bhagwant Mann also attacked his opponents. He said that the opposition party people say what will happen to women with Rs 1000 or Rs 1500. The opponents have never seen poverty. So maybe it means nothing to them, but I have seen poverty, where people keep track of even a five rupee tea leaf. He said that mothers will no longer have to look to their husbands or sons for rituals and to give omen to their daughter's children.
He said that now women will have their own money and their respect will remain. That is why this scheme has been named Mavan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana. Earlier, in weddings, the wedding processions coming from the girl's village were honored by giving them shagun, due to which the girl felt proud that people had come from her maternal home.
