New Delhi: The much-awaited film of the year, Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, has finally hit the theatres on July 3, 2026. The film opened in theatres with mixed reactions, while some praised the first half, others felt the storyline was average. Many also felt that Sharvari did not get much screen presence, and the movie is all about Alia Bhatt. Several users also felt that the scenes in Alpha are inspired by Hollywood movies, and the film doesn’t have a fresh plot or something that people have not seen before. Some even called the plot “predictable”.
If you are planning to watch the movie in theatres this weekend, then here’s everything you need to know about Alpha.

Another shared on X (formally Twitter), “First half Average ! Dull plot and Action sequences are good but story so weak.”
One user shared, “#Alpha : Unexpected cameo of big Bollywood star.” Many guessed that it could be Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan, who are also a part of the YRF Universe. While Salman Khan plays Tiger in Tiger franchise, Shah Rukh Khan entered the universe with Pathaan.

Another reviewed, “First half done ! #Alpha. Good start. Alia’s entry & the action sequence were really good, She’s doing well. I did feel the pacing was off at times, with a few scenes & convo feel stretched. Sharvari good. Still feel Luthra should’ve been there instead of Anil. He feels dull.”

One user wrote, “#Alpha INTERVAL! This one’s going down. Agent entering enemy’s ghetto while eating French fries 🍟 Terrible! #AliaBhatt looks annoying with laughs & attitude but action scenes are good, while #Sharvari is filming Nike-Puma reels in Spain. RAW chief is thief & ex R&AW soldier becomes villain – We have seen it in #Pathaan. #CaptainAmerica female version meets Judwaa meets MI.”

#Alpha first half:
Same template as other spy universe films, predictable, one ad of Calvin Klein coupled with a song that you might not remember once it ends.. please don’t use any brain while watching action sequences because either you’d laugh or scratch your head. One more…

#Alpha Interval Review : All Hail the King Uday Chopra, This one is Atrociously PATHETIC.
– Raw Chief is considering Self over Service.
– A Super soldier is eating Fries and Junk.
– 2 Songs have gone and both are Trash
– The action blocks are Laughing Stock
– The Fraternal…— KBP Reviews🏹 (@KshitizCritic) July 3, 2026
#Alpha : INTERVAL
The film attempts to feel fresh, but it ends up reminding you of ideas Hollywood has already done multiple times. The Spy Universe still hasn’t fixed its biggest flaw: less espionage, more family drama and personal conflicts.

Movie goers were also impressed with Hrithik Roshan’s cameo and Bobby Deol’s performance.
Directed by debutant Shiv Rawail, Alpha is produced by Yash Raj Films. It stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Sharvari Wagh in key roles.
