
The “Talent Search 2026-27” campaign run by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a golden opportunity for the young players of the state. The continuously increasing participation in the trials organized to select eligible players for the state sports academies is a proof that the sports talents of the state are fully prepared to make their mark at the national and international level. On Saturday, T.T. located in the capital Bhopal. A large number of players enthusiastically participated in the selection trials held at Municipal Stadium and Jhabua and demonstrated their sporting ability impressively.
T.T. A total of 148 players participated in the selection trials organized at Madhya Pradesh State Boxing Academy located at Nagar Stadium, which included 84 boys and 64 girls. The selection process was conducted as per the prescribed technical standards under the supervision of experienced trainers. The trials were conducted under the leadership of chief trainer Roshan Lal. During this, assistant coaches Neha Kashyap, Sonam Nayak and Bharat Pansoria minutely evaluated the performance of the players.
T.T. 70 players participated in the Badminton Selection Trials held at Nagar Stadium, Bhopal and displayed their technical proficiency and sporting skills. The selection process was led by Mr. Agus Dwi Santosa, Chief Coach of Gwalior Badminton Academy, who has been the former coach of Indian star shuttler PV Sindhu in the year 2021 and 2023. Along with him, Indonesia’s doubles expert coach Sofian and assistant coach Vineet Sarode evaluated the performance of the players.
22 players participated in the archery selection trials held in Jhabua and demonstrated their concentration, technical skills and target shooting ability. The active participation of players from remote areas proved that there is immense potential for sports talents even in the tribal and rural areas of the state.
The selection process is being conducted by the department with complete transparency and in accordance with the prescribed standards. Players are being evaluated on the basis of physical ability, technical proficiency, fitness and specific sports requirements, so that the best talents can be selected and they can be provided high level training with modern facilities in the state sports academies.
Under “Talent Search 2026-27”, selection trials of various sports will be organized in different districts of the state in the coming days as per the prescribed schedule. The Sports and Youth Welfare Department has called upon the eligible players to participate in the trials in maximum numbers, so that a strong foundation can be laid towards taking the new sports talents of Madhya Pradesh to the national and international stage.
In the upcoming phases of the talent search campaign, selection trials of various sports including athletics, triathlon, kayaking and canoeing, men’s hockey, women’s hockey, archery, taekwondo will be organized as per the scheduled schedule. With this, more and more players of the state will get an opportunity to showcase their talent.
