Investigators probing the murder of Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal have uncovered a Snapchat message allegedly sent by the prime accused, Siya Goyal, in which she reportedly told a friend that her planned marriage was "not going to happen," police officials said.

According to investigators, the message was sent in May, several weeks before Agarwal's death, and has become a key piece of evidence in the ongoing probe.

Siya Goyal (20) and her alleged partner Chetan Chaudhary (22) were arrested last month on charges of murdering Ketan Agarwal by allegedly pushing him into a gorge at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18.

Police said the alleged Snapchat conversation involved Siya requesting her friend's Aadhaar card for wedding travel arrangements. In the message, she reportedly wrote: " Aadhaar card front back bhej de. For wedding tickets jo hone nai wali par fir bhi bhej de (Send me the front and back of your Aadhaar card for booking tickets for a wedding that is never going to happen, but send it anyway)."

Investigators are currently verifying the authenticity of the chat and examining whether it provides evidence of premeditation.

Authorities said there is no indication at this stage that Siya's friend was aware of any alleged murder plan. However, investigators have identified a third person—believed to be a classmate of Chetan Chaudhary—who allegedly had prior knowledge of the conspiracy to kill Agarwal. Police are continuing to investigate that individual's role.

Ketan Agarwal and Siya Goyal got engaged earlier this year and were scheduled to marry in November in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

On June 18, the couple visited Lohagad Fort, where Agarwal fell into a deep gorge. The incident was initially treated as a tragic accident. ALSO READ: Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Accused Siya Goyal Shows Middle Finger at Media (VIDEO)

However, following further investigation, police alleged that Agarwal's death was a planned murder. Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary were subsequently arrested on charges of intentionally pushing him from a height, leading to his death.

The investigation is ongoing as police continue to gather digital and forensic evidence related to the case.
