When will the SSC CGL 2026 admit card be released?

The Staff Selection Commission will release the admit card for the SSC CGL 2026 Tier-1 exam on its respective regional official websites two to three days prior to the exam. Additionally, an 'Exam City Intimation Slip'—containing details about the exam city—will be released for candidates approximately one week before the exam. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards by logging in using their registration number and password or date of birth.

When will the SSC CGL 2026 exam be held?

The SSC CGL Tier-1 exam is scheduled to be conducted between August and September 2026. Subsequently, the Tier-2 exam will be held in December 2026. The online application process for the SSC CGL 2026 recruitment began on May 21, 2026, with the deadline set for June 22, 2026. Candidates aged between 18 and 32 years were eligible to apply for this recruitment.

How to download the admit card?

To download the admit card, first visit the official SSC website. Navigate to the 'Admit Card' section and click on the link for the SSC CGL Tier-1 Admit Card. Enter your registration number or roll number, along with your password or date of birth. Upon logging in, the admit card will appear on the screen; download and print it.

What information will the admit card contain?

After downloading the admit card, carefully verify all the details provided. It will include the candidate's name, roll number, registration number, date of birth, category, photograph, signature, exam date, exam time, reporting time, and the name and full address of the exam center. If you notice any errors, contact the relevant SSC regional office promptly.

What must be carried to the exam center?

On the day of the exam, candidates are required to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with an original photo identity proof. Valid identity proofs include an Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, passport, or driving license. Additionally, you must carry a passport-sized photograph. If the date of birth is not mentioned on the identity proof, you must also carry a document verifying your date of birth. Keep these important points in mind:

Candidates should not write anything on the admit card beforehand, nor should they tear or fold it; the barcode on the admit card must not be damaged in any way. Candidates who did not complete Aadhaar verification during the application process must arrive at the exam center at least two hours before the exam begins. After the exam concludes, candidates must complete the mandatory exit verification process. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of their candidature.
