Amid all the trading buzz and ongoing conversation around the players for the upcoming IPL 2027, there is a big rumor going around as the star spinner-all-rounder of the Gujarat Titans, R Sai Kishore, is planning to switch his IPL team for the next edition. 

The trade window for the IPL 2027 has opened up, and there have already been a lot of developments going around for some of the big players. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who finished in the eighth spot of the points table of the IPL 2026, are planning to take the services of Sai Kishore in a trade deal from the Gujarat Titans (GT). With the addition of a solid spinner-all-rounder, their squad will be strengthened already.

R Sai Kishore had a phenomenal breakthrough season during the IPL 2025 season, where he played 15 games and grabbed 19 wickets. Then in IPL 2026, he didn’t get enough games to showcase his skills, only featuring in 3 matches. Despite an impressive performance in the 2025 season, he failed to feature much in the recently concluded season, which might affect his future if he continues with the Titans. 

Sai Kishore, who is from Tamil Nadu, is planning to switch his IPL team to his native state. As per some reports, Sai Kishore has already informed about his possible move to the Southern part of the country. 

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be keen to acquire his services as they need a primary Indian spinner who can bat in the lower order for the team. They need to strengthen their batting. It is being reported that Sai Kishore, valued at around INR 2 crore, is the most probable player to join CSK in an all-cash deal. 

Prashant Veer, who was bought by the franchise at INR 14.2 crore, is set to be released by CSK after his poor performance this season.  In this case, rumours indicate that Sai Kishore is prepared to join CSK at a time when the club requires him, which has apparently pleased franchise management.
