Rajasthan Chief Secretary Discusses Development Initiatives with Central Officials

In Jaipur, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas met with several senior officials from the central government in New Delhi on Monday to discuss crucial aspects related to the state's development and provide updates on progress.


During his meeting with Tarun Kapoor, an advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Secretary addressed topics such as industrial investment in Rajasthan, job creation, development initiatives, and the success of various central and state-sponsored schemes. He emphasized that the projects inaugurated and laid down during the Prime Minister's visit to Rajasthan on July 4 would play a significant role in achieving the goals of Developed Rajasthan@2047 and Developed India@2047.


The Chief Secretary also provided insights into the progress of Phase-2 of deregulation and compliance reduction in Rajasthan during a meeting with Dr. Manoj Govil, Secretary (Coordination) of the Central Cabinet Secretariat. Dr. Govil praised Rajasthan's efforts and expressed optimism that, like Phase-1, the state would remain among the top performers in Phase-2 as well. The success of Rising Rajasthan has significantly boosted the ease of living and doing business in the state.


Additionally, the Chief Secretary met with V. Vualnam, the Central Expenditure Secretary, to discuss the progress of central schemes in Rajasthan, including various funding matters.


In another meeting at the Duty Building, he engaged with Arvind Srivastava, the Central Revenue Secretary, to discuss various GST-related issues and the positive changes in GST collections following the reform of GST slabs. Furthermore, he held discussions with Rajesh Kumar Singh, the Central Defence Secretary, regarding initiatives like Make in India.
