New Delhi: Apple is reportedly gearing up to launch its next-generation iPhone lineup in early September, with fresh leaks suggesting the company’s annual keynote could take place during the second week of the month. While Apple has not officially announced an event, industry reports indicate the iPhone 18 series may arrive alongside the company’s first foldable smartphone.
According to reports, Apple is expected to follow its long-standing tradition of unveiling new iPhones shortly after the US Labor Day holiday. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has noted that the company typically schedules its iPhone launch events on the first Tuesday or Wednesday after the holiday, making September 8 or September 9 the most likely dates for this year’s keynote.
Some reports favor September 9, citing Apple’s preference for midweek launches that allow global media and analysts to attend while ensuring a smooth retail rollout later in the month.
The biggest talking point surrounding this year’s launch is the possibility of Apple’s first foldable iPhone. The device, widely referred to in leaks as the iPhone Ultrais expected to mark Apple’s entry into the foldable smartphone segment, where companies such as Samsung and Google already have established products.
Although Apple has not confirmed the existence of the device, multiple reports suggest it could debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Some reports also suggest the launch event could be pushed to September 14 if production schedules change. However, no official confirmation has been provided by Apple.
Until the company issues invitations for its annual keynote, the reported launch dates and product lineup remain speculative. If the leaks prove accurate, Apple could be preparing one of its most significant iPhone launches in recent years with the introduction of both a refreshed flagship lineup and its first foldable smartphone.
