NIOS Recruitment 2026: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), which operates under the Ministry of Education, has announced the recruitment of 34 positions across Groups 'A', 'B', and 'C'. This recruitment will be conducted on a deputation basis, and there is no application fee required.
Successful candidates may be assigned to the NIOS headquarters in Noida or any of the 20 regional centers throughout India. The location of posting will depend on the needs of the institute.

Who Can Apply?
Assistant Director (Academic)
Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized institution. A minimum of 5 years of experience in academic administration, research, or study material preparation is required. Knowledge of computer operations is essential. For deputation, candidates must hold an equivalent post or have 5 years of regular service at Level-10.
Academic Officer (Hindi)
Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks. Candidates with good academic records and PGTs having 5 years of experience in an equivalent post or at Level-6 are also eligible.
Librarian
Bachelor’s degree with M.Lib.Sc. or Master’s degree with B.Lib.Sc. and 5 years of experience in a recognized academic or research institution.
Section Officer
Graduate with a second division and experience in administration, accounts, or examination conduct. Regular service of 5 years at Level-6 or 10 years at Level-4 in an equivalent post is required.
Assistant Audit Officer
Graduate in Economics, Accounts, or Commerce; or CA, CFA, or ICWA qualification with 5 years of experience in accounts/audit at Level-6 or 8 years at Level-5.
Assistant
12th-grade pass with proficiency in office work and a typing speed of at least 8000 key depressions per hour on a computer. Regular service of 5 years in an equivalent post or at Level-2 is necessary.
Age Limit:
The maximum age for all positions is 56 years as of the application deadline.
Selection Process:
A screening committee will review applications, and meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an interview. If there are numerous applications, NIOS may establish higher criteria for shortlisting. Candidates selected for interviews will be notified via email.
Application Deadline:
The last date for online applications is 30 days from the advertisement's publication date. The hard copy of the application must reach the NIOS office within 7 days of the online submission.
