Lagu tersebut dirilis dalam bentuk video musik melalui kanal YouTube Tate Butts. Dalam empat hari sejak dirilis, video musiknya telah ditonton lebih dari 60,5 ribu kali di YouTube.
"When I Pray" menceritakan tentang seseorang yang percaya bahwa Tuhan selalu mengetahui isi hatinya. Meski sedang menghadapi masa yang sulit, ia tetap yakin bahwa Tuhan selalu ada dan tidak pernah meninggalkannya.
