For those souls who are sinful, the form of Yamdoots appears extremely terrifying. On the other hand, the virtuous soul sees divine light and angels.
After death, the soul is caught by Yamdoot and taken to Yamalok. The journey to Yamalok is very difficult and long. On the way to Yamlok, there is river Vaitarani filled with blood and sin. Terrible creatures and crocodiles live in it, which torment the sinful souls. There are many cities and places on the way to Yamalok, where the soul suffers punishment according to its deeds.
