If you have lost records of your old EPF (Employees' Provident Fund) account while switching jobs, or if you have multiple PF accounts due to working for various companies, there is good news. The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has made it significantly easier for members to locate details of past employment and associated PF records through its new 'Service History' feature. With this feature, employees can view a comprehensive record of all employment details and Member IDs linked to their UAN (Universal Account Number) in one place.

**Access Complete Employment History with a Single Click**
The 'Service History' feature, available on EPFO’s new Unified Member Portal, displays details of an employee's entire employment tenure. It provides information such as the company worked for, the duration of employment, the Member ID issued during that period, and the duration for which EPF contributions were made. This feature will be particularly beneficial for employees who have changed jobs frequently and failed to transfer their PF accounts on time.

**Easier to Locate Old PF Accounts**
Often, after changing jobs, employees open a new PF account but leave the balance in the old account untouched. Sometimes, employees do not even recall how many PF accounts they hold. In such instances, the 'Service History' feature provides information on all past and current Member IDs. This allows employees to easily identify their old accounts and, if necessary, link or transfer them to their current UAN.

**Assistance via the E-PRAAPTI Platform**
EPFO has also recently launched the E-PRAAPTI platform. Through this platform, members can locate old EPF accounts using details like Aadhaar, Member ID, or other available information. The process of re-linking an account that is not connected to a UAN has also been simplified. This will help in reactivating PF accounts that have remained dormant for years.

**EPFO’s Focus on Digital Services**
EPFO has been consistently strengthening its digital services. Following features like online claim settlement, automatic PF transfer, easy KYC updates, and the new unified portal, the 'Service History' feature is considered another major step in this direction. The objective is to provide employees with access to most PF-related services online, without the need to visit an EPFO office.

Experts advise all EPF members to periodically log in to their UAN portal and check their service history. This ensures that records of all their past employment are accurately documented, preventing any issues during future PF transfers or withdrawals.
