According to Sky Germany, FC Barcelona are currently working on submitting an improved second proposal to Borussia Dortmund for forward Karim Adeyemi.
The updated offer is expected to total €20 million upfront, plus an additional €10 million in performance-related bonuses. The revised structure of these add-ons is designed to make the bonus targets more attainable for the German club.
Although Dortmund turned down Barcelona’s initial bid earlier today, both clubs remain engaged in discussions regarding the transfer.
However, reports suggest that the Catalan side does not intend to go beyond the €30 million mark, considering that Adeyemi has just one year left on his existing contract with Borussia Dortmund.
From the outset of negotiations, it has been reported that the 24-year-old winger has already agreed on personal terms with the Spanish giants, committing to a five-year deal that would keep him at Camp Nou until 2031.
Meanwhile, sources in Spain indicate that Barcelona might attempt to persuade Dortmund by including a player in the deal along with a cash payment for the pacey attacker.
