Repairs continue on Mumbai-Pune rail line after landslide, many trains canceled till July 17

After the landslide in Bhor Ghat area of ​​Mumbai-Pune railway line, information has come to light that train movement will be affected till July 17. About 30 railway services including 14 daily trains, 8 trains running on special dates and 8 special trains have been canceled by Central Railway.

Due to cancellation of these trains, passengers may face problems in commuting. While giving information regarding the trains after the landslide between Lonavala and Karjat, the Railways has asked the passengers to check the schedule before travelling. Let us know which trains are cancelled.

Major trains canceled include Deccan Queen, Mumbai Pune Intercity Express, Deccan Express, CSMT Hyderabad Express, Chennai Egmore Superfast Mail and Hubli Dadar Express.

 

Landslide was caused by heavy rain

Let us tell you that there was torrential rain on July 6, after which landslides occurred at many places in Thakurwadi and Monkey Hill area between Karjat and Lonavala. Due to this, three railway lines were damaged.

Repair work is being done on war footing to resume traffic as soon as possible. Difficult hilly terrain and challenging conditions due to rain are hampering the restoration. At present one of the three lines has been started. While work on two is going on.

Additional bus service for convenience

To ensure that passengers do not face any hassle, Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation will operate 200 additional bus services daily on the Mumbai-Pune route from Saturday. These buses will be run in addition to the already running 312 E Shivneri services.
