Harmanpreet Kaur Lord’s Records: The test match is being played between India and England women’s cricket team at the historic ground of Lord’s. On the first day, the Indian team was all out for 285 runs in the first innings. Smriti Mandhana, Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma scored brilliant half-centuries. During her half-century innings, Kaur achieved a feat which even great players like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli could not do till date.
In fact, Harmanpreet Kaur Scored 58 runs in 121 balls with the help of 7 fours. She has now become the first Indian player to score a half-century in all three formats at the historic Test ground of Lord’s. Earlier, he had scored fifty here in ODI and T-20.
Let us tell you that with the wickets of Shefali Verma and Yastika Bhatia falling rapidly, the Indian team was in trouble. The team’s score was 2 wickets for 37 runs within 7 overs. But from here again vice-captain Smriti Mandhana tried to handle the Indian innings. He added 64 runs for the third wicket with Jemimah Rodrigues.
Rodrigues was out after scoring 25 runs in 38 balls. After her dismissal, captain Harmanpreet Kaur came to the crease… Kaur along with Mandhana made an important partnership of 89 runs for the fourth wicket. Due to this India reached a strong position. Smriti Mandhana missed a century. She was out after scoring 83 runs. This is his 300th international match. If she had scored a century, it would have been her third century in her Test career and 18th century in her international career. Mandhana has scored 14 centuries in ODI and one century in T-20.
Deepti also presented another example of her all-round performance by scoring a half-century. He played a brilliant inning of 57 runs in 87 balls with the help of 7 fours. This was the fifth fifty of his Test career.
Sophie Eccleston took maximum 3 wickets for England. Whereas, Mathie Villiers, Issie Wang and Lauren Filler took 2-2 wickets, while Lauren Bell got 1 wicket.
