Vijayendra Kumeria reveals the biggest change he made to play Sanyam in Juhi Mui: 'I consciously worked on my body language'

Vijayendra Kumeria has made a confident return to television with Juhi Mui , where he plays police officer Sanyam. His performance has already caught viewers' attention, especially because the character carries a very different personality from the roles he has portrayed in the past. That difference, the actor says, wasn't accidental. It came from changing something audiences may not even notice at first glance.
Interestingly, Vijayendra didn't begin preparing for Sanyam by focusing on dialogues or expressions. His first concern was how the character would carry himself from one scene to the next.
"The most important thing was the body language. I consciously worked on it because the previous character I was doing was a very cool guy. So he was not very uptight, and he didn't have to think much about how he was sitting, how he was standing, how he was walking."
Those habits, which had become natural while playing his earlier role, were no longer useful once he stepped into a police officer's uniform. Sanyam couldn't appear casual or relaxed. Every movement needed to communicate discipline and readiness.
"But here I had to consciously develop this posture or body language, so that in every frame, this guy looks alert and physically able to take the challenges."
For Vijayendra, that meant reminding himself throughout the shoot that Sanyam would stand differently, sit differently and even walk differently. Instead of allowing familiar mannerisms to slip in, he stayed mindful of the character's physical presence in every scene.
It's a small detail from the outside, but one that can completely change how a character is perceived. In Vijayendra’s case, it was less about adding something new, more about leaving old habits behind. That conscious shift has helped Sanyam develop an identity of his own, making the police officer feel separate from the actor's previous performances, and giving viewers a character they can instantly recognise on screen.
