Bank Holiday Next Week: Although branches may remain closed due to holidays, online banking, UPI, and mobile banking services will continue to operate normally, ensuring that financial transactions can still be carried out.

Bank Holiday Alert: A new week begins tomorrow, July 13. If you are planning to visit a bank to complete any urgent tasks during this period, this information is important for you. Between July 13 and July 19, public and private sector banks across India will remain closed for four days due to state-specific and local holidays. These are not national holidays, meaning banks will not be closed nationwide simultaneously but rather on different days depending on local festivals observed in specific states and cities.

Bank holidays falling next week:

  • July 16 (Thursday) – Banks will remain closed in Uttarakhand and Manipur due to the Harela festival. Banks in Odisha will be closed due to Rath Yatra.
  • July 17 (Friday) – Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya due to the death anniversary of U Tirot Singh.
  • July 18 (Saturday) – Banks will remain closed in Sikkim due to Drukpa Tshe-zi.
  • July 19 (Sunday) – Banks will remain closed across the country due to the weekly holiday.

Public and private sector banks will remain open in most parts of the country on Monday (July 13), Tuesday (July 14), and Wednesday (July 15), with normal operations continuing. Customers are advised to complete any urgent branch-related tasks—such as cash deposits, cheque clearance, or in-person banking—during the early part of the week.

On which other days in July will banks remain closed?

July 22 – Banks will remain closed in Tripura due to Kharchi Puja.
July 25 – Banks will remain closed due to the fourth Saturday of the month. This is a mandatory holiday for all scheduled and non-scheduled banks.
July 26 – Banks across the country will remain closed due to the weekly bank holiday.

Digital services will remain operational.

Despite bank branches being closed, you can still carry out financial transactions, pay bills, check your balance, and more via internet banking, mobile banking apps, and ATMs.
