Electric Scooter: New Hero Vida VX2 Plus variant launched with bigger battery, know price and features

Electric Scooter: Hero Vida has expanded its electric scooter lineup by launching the new Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh variant. This new model has a larger 4.4kWh battery pack, which provides much more range than the existing 3.4kWh variant. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at ₹ 1,43,990. According to the company, this scooter is capable of giving a range of up to 187 km (IDC) once fully charged.

Dual removable battery pack
The new Vida VX2 Plus comes with two removable battery packs, each with a capacity of 2.2kWh. Both batteries together provide a total capacity of 4.4kWh. Hero Vida claims that this new battery setup gives the scooter an IDC range of 187 km, while the existing 3.4kWh variant has a range of 146 km. That means the new model gets an additional range of about 41 km.

More powerful charger and fast charging
The Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh comes with a 1kW portable charger, which is more capacious than the charger on the previous 3.4kWh model. With its help, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 3 hours 17 minutes and from 0 to 100 percent in 5 hours 8 minutes.

If DC fast charging is used then the charging time is significantly reduced. With the help of fast charger, the battery gets charged from 0 to 80 percent in 65 minutes and fully charges in about 2 hours 30 minutes. The company says that it has more than 6,000 fast charging stations available across the country.

Motor and performance
Like before, the new 4.4kWh variant has a 6kW electric motor, which generates 26Nm torque. Its maximum speed is said to be 90 km/hour. In terms of performance, this scooter is similar to the existing VX2 Plus 3.4kWh model.

Riding Modes and Features
Vida VX2 Plus 4.4kWh has three riding modes including Eco, Ride and Sport. Apart from this, Boost mode is also available, which provides additional power for some time during overtaking.

Talking about the features, the scooter has a 4.3-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and other smart connected features, which further improve the riding experience.
