Monsoon Hair Care: While the monsoon season provides relief from the heat, hair problems also increase during this time. Due to humidity, sweat and pollution, many people have to face the problem of hair fall, dry hair and weak roots. In such a situation, onion present in the house can prove helpful in hair care.
Elements like sulfur and antioxidants are found in onion juice, which can help in nourishing the scalp and maintaining the strength of hair. However, before adopting any home remedy, please check the sensitivity of your skin.
To make onion juice, take 2 to 3 medium sized onions. Peel them, cut them into small pieces and grind them in the mixer. After this, separate the juice with the help of cloth or sieve. The prepared juice can be used immediately or kept in the refrigerator for some time.
If your hair has become weak then you can prepare a hair mask by mixing honey in onion juice. For this, mix 1 teaspoon honey in 2 teaspoons onion juice. Apply this mixture on the scalp and leave it for about 20 minutes and then wash the hair with mild shampoo.
Honey helps retain moisture in the hair, while onion juice can be helpful in nourishing the roots.
The problem of itching and dryness on the scalp becomes common during monsoon. For this, aloe vera gel can be applied by mixing equal quantity of onion juice. Apply it on the roots of the hair and massage it lightly and wash the hair after about 30 minutes.
The protein present in eggs helps in strengthening the hair. Mix one egg in one spoon onion juice and beat it well. Apply this mixture from the roots to the length of the hair and wash it with cold water after 20 to 30 minutes.
If your skin is sensitive or there is any wound, infection or irritation on the scalp, then avoid applying onion juice. Before using it for the first time, do a patch test by applying a little amount on your hand. If you feel irritation or itching, clean it immediately.
