The Indian women's team has the final smile at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London after they defeated the home team England by a massive margin of 270 runs. For the first time in the cricket's history, Lord's, known as the Home of Cricket, has hosted a women's Test match. It broke a 142-year barrier since the venue hosted its first men's Test match in 1984.
For the men, it was the match between England and Australia. England's Lord Harris defeated Billy Murdoch's Australia by an innings and 5 runs. And on July 13, Harmankreet Kaur made history with India Women's glory against Nat Sciver Brunt's England.
Notably, this is India Women's 9th Test match win since they played their first test in 1976. The side played a total of 43 Tests, drawing 27 and losing 7 of those.

India complete dominant victory after final-day formalities
India wrapped up the one-off Women's Test against England during the opening session of day four after claiming the remaining four wickets needed to seal victory. Chasing a daunting 457-run target, England resumed at 130/6 but managed to extend the contest for over 90 minutes before being bowled out for 186.
Amy Jones, who had top-scored for England with a fighting half-century, was the first batter dismissed on the final morning after being caught at mid-wicket off Sneh Rana. Sophie Ecclestone then mounted a determined resistance, bringing up a fifty while frustrating the Indian attack alongside Issy Wong. However, England's lower order could only delay the inevitable as India's bowlers maintained control throughout the session.
All-round effort powers India's memorable Test triumph
India's victory was built on commanding performances across all departments over the four days. After posting 285 in the first innings, the visitors bundled England out for 170 to gain a crucial lead. Kranti Gaud starred with a five-wicket haul, while Sayali Satghare, Sneh Rana and Deepti Sharma also made key contributions with the ball.
In the second innings, Yastika Bhatia's maiden Test century laid the foundation for India's declaration at 341/7, with valuable contributions from Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh helping stretch the lead beyond 450. England's bowlers were led by Sophie Ecclestone, who claimed five wickets, but the target proved well beyond reach. On the final morning, Deepti Sharma removed Lauren Bell and Issy Wong in quick succession before Rana ended Ecclestone's resistance, sparking jubilant celebrations among the Indian players as they completed a comprehensive Test victory.
