As Real Madrid embark on a new chapter under the management of Jose Mourinho, supporters will soon have the chance to witness a different perspective of the Portuguese coach through an upcoming Netflix documentary.

Netflix has officially announced the launch of “Mourinho”, a three-part documentary series that delves into the career of one of football’s most successful and polarising managers.

The documentary comes at a pivotal juncture for Mourinho, who is making a return to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium more than ten years after concluding his initial stint with the Spanish giants in 2013.

While preparations for the 2026/27 campaign are already in progress at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training complex, fans will also get to relive the most defining chapters of Mourinho’s managerial journey when the series premieres on 11 August.

A trailer for the series has been unveiled on Netflix’s official platforms, offering an early look at what audiences can expect from the production.

The three-episode series explores the various stages of Mourinho’s illustrious career, highlighting his evolution from a young tactician to one of the sport’s most decorated figures.

According to Netflix, the documentary revisits some of Mourinho’s greatest triumphs while also sharing more personal insights from his decades in football management.

The series includes special moments featuring football legends such as Diego Maradona and Cristiano Ronaldo, along with reflections on the trophies and milestones that have cemented Mourinho’s reputation as one of the game’s most accomplished coaches.

The documentary also showcases Mourinho’s trademark charisma and self-assuredness as he reflects on his legacy. In the trailer, he confidently remarks, “You don’t make a documentary about a bloke who doesn’t win anything.”

Meanwhile, Real Madrid officially began their pre-season training today, though the initial session featured a reduced group of players as many of the club’s senior internationals are either still participating in the FIFA World Cup or taking their post-tournament breaks.

The players present at Valdebebas underwent routine medical tests before commencing training. Among the first-team members in attendance were Andriy Lunin, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alvaro Carreras, Dean Huijsen, Raul Asencio, Eduardo Camavinga, Gonzalo García, and Franco Mastantuono.

Additionally, Eder Militao, Rodrygo Goes, and Ferland Mendy were also present as they continue their respective injury rehabilitation programmes.
