Manchester United are set to pursue three additional signings this summer after securing three deals earlier in the week, as reported by The Sun.

The Red Devils confirmed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos yesterday and followed it up today with the announcement of Welsh goalkeeper Karl Darlow.

They have also activated the £35 million release clause in Youri Tielemans’ contract with Aston Villa, with the Belgian midfielder beginning the initial phase of his medical on Monday.

Tielemans is expected to be officially unveiled as a Manchester United player before the end of the week, while manager Michael Carrick is keen to add further reinforcements.

United are aiming to bring in another midfielder, a left winger, and a forward to strengthen their squad depth ahead of next season’s return to the UEFA Champions League.

Although a move for Atalanta’s Ederson has collapsed, Carrick remains determined to fill the midfield role, with Manuel Ugarte anticipated to be available throughout the upcoming season.

The Tielemans deal came as a surprise to many, and there could be more unexpected moves from the Old Trafford hierarchy.

Marcus Rashford is widely expected to depart the club, and plans for a replacement are already underway.

Crysencio Summerville of West Ham United is believed to be on United’s radar, though fans would not be shocked if the club opts for a different player.

Benjamin Sesko could also benefit from greater depth and competition up front, with several strikers being linked to a potential switch to the Theatre of Dreams.

Among the names reportedly under consideration are Brighton & Hove Albion’s Danny Welbeck, Al-Ahli’s Ivan Toney, and Brentford’s Igor Thiago.

Having already secured three major signings, United believe that adding three more quality players in the targeted positions could significantly elevate their prospects next season.
