Materials:

  • Red pumpkin
  • water
  • curd
  • salt
  • Green chillies
  • cumin
  • curry leaves
  • Turmeric
  • Peanut butter
  • Coriander
  • Asafoetida

Action:

  • To make pumpkin filling, first, cut the pumpkin into pieces and remove the skin from the top of the pumpkin.
  • Add water, pumpkin pieces and salt to taste in a cooker, cover the cooker and take 5 to 6 whistles.
  • After the cooked pumpkin cools down, mash it with the help of a masher and take it into a bowl.
  • Heat ghee in a frying pan and add asafoetida, curry leaves, cumin seeds and finely chopped green chillies and fry well.
  • Finally turn off the heat and add turmeric and keep the batter to cool slightly.
  • Add curd and groundnut paste to the pumpkin mixture and mix and pour the prepared batter over it and mix.
  • Finally add finely chopped coriander and mix well.
  • An authentic traditional red pumpkin filling is ready.
