If you wish to launch a career as an air hostess, flight steward, or ground handler, this news is for you. There is no longer a need to visit private institutes; you can receive training at the Jharkhand Flying Institute, which operates under the Jharkhand government. Admissions for these courses are currently open. This government initiative aims to strengthen the state's aviation sector and provide new, lucrative employment opportunities for the youth. Interested candidates can apply until July 31, 2026. Selection will be based on Class 12 merit, a personal interview, and English-speaking proficiency.

**Course and Fee Details**
The institute offers four types of training programs, including certificate and diploma courses. The fee for the six-month certificate course in Aviation and Hospitality (covering air hostess, flight steward, and ground handler roles) is set at ₹1,00,500.

Meanwhile, the fee for the one-year diploma course in Aviation and Hospitality (covering the same roles) is ₹1,55,500. These fees cover registration, study materials, uniforms, examination fees, grooming kits, and training in swimming and fitness.

**No Admission with Visible Tattoos**
According to the Jharkhand Flying Institute's advertisement, applicants must not have tattoos on any visible part of their body; this is clearly stated in the department's eligibility criteria. Applicants must be between 18 and 27 years of age as of July 1, 2026.

Regarding physical standards, the minimum height requirement is 157 cm for women and 170 cm for men. The minimum educational qualification for all these training programs is passing Class 12 (10+2) in any stream.

**Apply with a Demand Draft**
Candidates are required to submit a Demand Draft of ₹1,000 along with their application form. The demand draft must be drawn in favor of ‘Jharkhand Flying Institute, Ranchi’. The application form is available on the institute's website. Candidates are required to submit self-attested copies of all necessary documents along with the filled-out form.

**50% Seats Reserved**
As per departmental guidelines, a total of 60 candidates will be enrolled in this course. Of these, 30 seats will be unreserved (General), while reservation rules will apply to the remaining 30 seats. Specifically, 16 seats are allocated for ST candidates and 6 seats for SC candidates. Additionally, 4 seats are reserved for Backward Class-1, 2 seats for Backward Class-2, and 2 seats for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) students.
