Motorola has launched the new Motorola Edge 70 Max smartphone, marking the fifth model in the company's Edge 70 series. Available in three color options, the phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 series chipset—the same one used in the iQOO 15R and OnePlus 15R. Running on the Android 16 operating system, this latest device features an AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the company claims the phone offers a battery life of up to 58 hours.

The base variant of this latest Motorola smartphone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at ₹54,999. Meanwhile, the variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at ₹59,999. In this price range, the phone will face stiff competition from models such as the Xiaomi 17T, Oppo Reno 16, Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini, and Pixel 10a.

There is also an instant discount of ₹5,000 available on select bank credit cards. Sales for the phone will begin on July 20 via Flipkart and Motorola's online store. It will be available in Pantone Dark Shadow, Pantone Aqua Grey, and Pantone Ice Melt color options.

OS: This latest dual-SIM phone runs on Hello UI based on Android 16. The company has promised three years of OS upgrades and five years of security updates for the device.

Screen: The handset features a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Extreme AMOLED display, offering a peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, and a touch sampling rate of up to 360Hz. Additionally, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i is used for screen protection. It also features 'Water Touch' support for improved touch responsiveness when using the screen with wet fingers.

Chipset: The phone is powered by a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 octa-core chipset and includes a vapor chamber cooling system to help keep the device cool.

Camera: The rear setup includes a 50-megapixel primary Sony LYT-710 camera sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera sensor. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor. The phone is capable of recording 4K video at 60fps.

Battery: It is equipped with a powerful 7,100mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 25W wireless charging. Additionally, the phone supports 5W wired reverse charging.

Connectivity: The phone supports features such as 5G, Wi-Fi 7, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth version 6, and GLONASS.
