If you do not have an LPG gas connection at home, there is no need to worry; you can now get an LPG cylinder delivered to your doorstep without one. You might be wondering how this is possible. The quick-commerce platform Instamart has partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) to launch the country's first on-demand delivery service for this purpose.
This means you can now receive an LPG cylinder at home without needing a pre-existing gas connection. The key questions now are: how do you book it, and are any documents required? Here are the answers to these questions.
**How to book an LPG cylinder without a gas connection?**
To book an LPG cylinder, you must first complete the KYC verification process; submitting the necessary KYC documents is mandatory for delivery. Only then will the order be processed as a refill. Additionally, you must hand over an empty LPG cylinder at the time of delivery. All orders confirmed via Instamart will be fulfilled through HPCL’s network of registered distributors.
**No gas connection required**
As part of the deal between Instamart and HPCL, Hindustan Petroleum has launched a 10 kg composite LPG cylinder named 'HP Navya'. Customers can also order a 5 kg metal LPG cylinder. This initiative will make booking gas easier for working professionals, students, and tenants. The service has currently been launched in Bengaluru.
**Gas level will be visible**
Safety standards will be strictly followed regarding the gas cylinder. According to media reports, HPCL has stated that the HP Navya cylinder is introduced as a lightweight, rust-free alternative to traditional steel cylinders. It features a transparent body, allowing customers to see the gas level. The company says this compact design is ideal for small families and households that prefer a smaller cylinder or require a secondary cylinder.
