Manchester United have been highly active during the current summer transfer window and are reportedly preparing to bring in three more players following their latest signing.
The Red Devils recently finalised a £35 million move for Youri Tielemans, who joined from Aston Villa. The 29-year-old midfielder becomes United’s third signing of the window, following the arrivals of Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow at Old Trafford.
According to The Sun, United are now aiming to secure three additional signings as manager Michael Carrick continues to reshape the team according to his vision.
Carrick, who was confirmed as permanent manager after stepping in as caretaker following Ruben Amorim’s dismissal in January, successfully stabilised the side. Under his leadership, United finished third in the Premier League, seven points behind second-placed Manchester City, and secured a return to the UEFA Champions League for the first time since 2023.
The latest addition: Youri Tielemans.
Reports suggest that the club is seeking another central midfielder, a left winger, and a striker to bolster squad depth. However, before proceeding with further signings, United may prioritise offloading some players.
West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville has emerged as a potential option for the left flank, while Bournemouth’s Alex Scott is also on United’s radar. However, the Cherries’ high valuation could complicate any potential deal.
In addition, United have been linked with Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni—who recently signed a new contract with the Spanish giants—as well as Adam Wharton and Carlos Baleba.
So far, United have not completed any major player sales apart from Rasmus Hojlund’s loan move to Napoli being made permanent.
The club is also seeking a permanent move for Marcus Rashford, who has returned from his loan spell at Barcelona. The Spanish club opted not to activate their purchase option, instead choosing to sign Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi.
