Akash's father was a laborer, who died in 2024 after a prolonged illness. Akash also incurred a debt of about Rs 3 lakh for his father's treatment. But before leaving, his father had told him one thing, whether you become rich or not, but definitely help others. Akash made this ideal of his father the aim of his life.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Akash said that he has been working as a delivery executive for the last 6 years. He earns Rs 1200 i.e. around Rs 36,000 a month by riding his bike for about 12 hours every day. But out of this meager earning, he withdraws Rs 500 every day. With this money, he prepares food himself and distributes it to the needy in areas like Pitampura, Rohini, Jahangirpuri and GTB Nagar of Delhi. For this noble work, he does not receive any donation or sponsorship from any organization, he bears the entire expense from his own pocket.
Akash shares the video of his food drive on social media, where people are saluting his passion. Many times, customers recognize them during delivery and even pay extra money for their help. However, despite winning millions of hearts on social media, his income from Instagram is zero. Akash says, I get 0 money from social media, whatever I do, I do with my hard earned money.
Be it distributing blankets to the homeless in the harsh winter, feeding hungry animals or getting a puncture repaired by a poor rickshaw puller, Akash is always there to help. A grueling 12-hour delivery job and then cooking and distributing it is physically very tiring. But Akash believes that true success lies in giving back to the society and no act of kindness is small.
