Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [भारत]July 16 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (HPSCB) will temporarily suspend its core banking and digital banking services for about five days from July 17 to July 22. This step is being taken under the NABARD Umbrella Project for migration to Finacle Core Banking Solution (CBS).
According to a public notice issued by the bank, the process will begin at 5:00 pm on July 17 and will continue till 10:00 am on July 22. During this period, customers will not be able to use branch banking services, ATM, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, RuPay Debit Card services, AEPS and other digital banking services dependent on CBS.
The bank said that the migration from the existing core banking solution to Finacle CBS (version 10.2.25) is aimed at improving banking services, strengthening security and enhancing customer experience. This migration is being done under the NABARD Umbrella Project to implement core banking solutions in co-operative banks.
HPSCB has advised customers to plan their banking transactions in advance to avoid inconvenience and complete any urgent financial transactions before the start of the maintenance period. The Bank regretted this temporary inconvenience and said that every possible effort will be made to complete the migration within the stipulated time-frame and restore all services as soon as possible.
The bank thanked customers for their patience and continued support, saying the upgrade is an important step towards providing a more secure, robust and technologically advanced banking platform. Customers requiring assistance during the migration period are advised to contact their nearest HPSCB branch or customer care of the bank.
Earlier this year, Chief Minister Sukhu had lauded the performance of HPSCB and its efforts to expand modern, technology-driven banking services while maintaining its core objective of serving the general public. He had said that HPSCB is playing an important role in implementing various state government schemes like e-taxi scheme, thereby ensuring timely financial benefits to the people.
Meanwhile, Shravan Manta, Managing Director, HPSCB, informed that HPSCB has continuously strengthened its financial position, expanded its branch network and adopted digital banking solutions to enhance customer convenience. (ANI)
