Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav is preparing to start 'Samajwadi PDA Rath Yatra' in Uttar Pradesh from September 2026. The focus of this yatra will be on helping PDA i.e. backward, Dalit and minority classes. The proposed yatra will pass through all the 403 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh. The main slogan of the yatra will be- 'Save Constitution, Save PDA'.

This is considered to be the biggest statewide public relations campaign of SP before the 2027 assembly elections. PDA class issues, social justice, reservation and protection of the Constitution will be made the main political issues during the yatra.
SP aims to further strengthen its social equation among backward, Dalit and minority voters. There will also be an emphasis on instilling electoral enthusiasm among the party workers and activating the organization up to the booth level. Akhilesh Yadav has been continuously attacking the BJP government in recent times regarding the rights of PDA and social justice.
Through the yatra, SP is preparing to strengthen its political ground for the 2027 election contest. There is also a possibility of starting the Yatra from a major religious place, which can add a new dimension of religious-cultural message along with social justice to SP's campaign.
Let us tell you that assembly elections are to be held in UP next year i.e. in 2027. In such a situation, all the parties including SP have already started their preparations. Samajwadi Party has made a big change in its strategy. Along with the politics of social justice, Akhilesh is also moving forward on the strategy of 'Soft Hindutva'.
