Tension has once again increased regarding the security situation in Balochistan of Pakistan. Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed that it carried out 48 attacks in different parts of Balochistan between July 1 and July 14. According to the organization, more than 40 Pakistani security personnel were killed and many others were injured in these attacks. BLA says that its operations were conducted in many areas including Mastung, Nushki, Panjgur, Kech, Khuzdar, Washuk, Harnai, Kalat, Kharan, Dalbandin, Vadh and Surab.
According to the BLA's claim, these attacks included IED blasts, ambushes, sniper fire, grenade launchers and other armed actions. The organization also claimed to have destroyed several military vehicles, disrupted army supply routes, blown up four important bridges and set on fire several vehicles carrying minerals and military supplies. The organization says that its fighters also established control over parts of major highways for some time.
During this time the vehicles were examined and after capturing a police station and several police posts, they were destroyed. BLA claims that the detained policemen were later released after giving a warning. However, BLA has also confirmed the killing of five of its fighters during these operations. The organization has identified them as Rahimullah alias Zafar, Khair Mohammad alias Hamal, Kaka alias Rashid, Masood alias Sami and Shah Nazar alias Badal.
The statement said that the organization will continue armed operations until its declared objectives are achieved. Meanwhile, according to sources, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter planes attacked two schools in a populated area in Baka Khel area of Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On the other hand, Pakistani military support platforms claim that 32 terrorists were killed in this action. On the other hand, it was also claimed that the Pakistani military convoy was ambushed from three directions on the Mastung-Quetta road.
It was told that a convoy of 10 buses running under military protection was targeted. Initial reports said more than 30, while later claims said 32 people were killed. According to the claims regarding the security situation of Pakistan, more than 680 terrorist incidents were recorded in the country between January 1 and July 16, 2026. More than 95 attacks and violent incidents have been claimed so far in July alone. During the same period, about 500 civilians and more than 780 Pakistani security personnel have also been claimed killed. These claims have not been independently verified.
