Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Crysencio Summerville if they decide to part ways with Marcus Rashford, which could see the Dutch winger reunited with Karl Darlow.

According to The Guardian, the Red Devils are prepared to shift their focus to the West Ham winger should Rashford be sold, with any potential deal estimated to be around £30 million.

Darlow, aged 35, recently completed a free transfer to Manchester United after his contract with Leeds United expired at Elland Road earlier this week.

Summerville and Darlow previously played together for one season at Leeds United. Darlow had joined the Yorkshire club in 2023 for a six-figure sum following their relegation to the Championship. During that campaign, Darlow served as understudy to Illan Meslier, while Summerville impressed with 20 goals and nine assists, earning the Championship Player of the Year award.

Leeds fell short in their promotion bid after losing to Southampton in the play-off final at Wembley, which led to Summerville’s £28 million transfer to West Ham United later that summer.

In his debut season with the Hammers, Summerville scored seven goals and provided three assists. Despite his contributions, West Ham were relegated on the final day of the season, even though they secured a 3-0 victory over a Leeds side that had already guaranteed safety. Summerville later represented the Netherlands at the World Cup, where he recorded two goals and two assists in four appearances.

Manchester United are now planning to offload Rashford after a turbulent period that included loan spells at Aston Villa and Barcelona. However, his high wages remain a significant obstacle to completing any transfer. Meanwhile, relegated West Ham are open to letting Summerville leave.
