Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Manchester United have no plans to sell Amad Diallo during this summer transfer window. According to the report, the club communicated this decision to the winger’s representatives back in June, making it clear that they intend to keep faith in him as part of their long-term plans.

This firm stance from United suggests that a possible move to St James’ Park is highly unlikely, despite recent surprise rumours linking Diallo with Newcastle United.

The 24-year-old winger remains a fan favourite among Sunderland supporters following his impressive loan spell at the Stadium of Light during the 2022–23 season under Tony Mowbray. During that campaign, he netted 14 goals across all competitions, helping the Black Cats reach the Championship play-offs.

Since returning to Old Trafford, Diallo has steadily established himself as a valuable option within Erik ten Hag’s first-team setup. His development and growing influence have been closely followed by supporters who remember his standout performances on Wearside.

The idea of Diallo signing for Newcastle United would come as a major surprise to many Sunderland fans, given the strong emotional connection he built with them during his loan tenure.

At present, all indications point towards Manchester United keeping hold of the winger. This position has already been clearly communicated to his camp, reinforcing the club’s belief in his potential and importance for the upcoming season.
