Indian Army AFMS BSc Nursing Course 2026: Colleges under the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) have invited applications for admission to the 4-year BSc Nursing Course (2026). Upon successful completion of this course, selected candidates will have the opportunity to join the Military Nursing Service (MNS) as Permanent or Short Service Commission officers. Who can apply?
Unmarried, divorced, widowed, or legally separated female candidates who are Indian citizens are eligible to apply for this recruitment drive by the AFMS.

Age requirement
Regarding age, candidates must have been born between October 1, 2001, and September 30, 2009.

Educational qualifications
Candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination in their first attempt with at least 50% marks, including subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology), and English. Additionally, qualifying the NEET (UG)-2026 examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) is mandatory.

Physical standards
To join the Army, the minimum height requirement for general female candidates is 152 cm, while it is set at 147 cm for candidates from hilly and North-Eastern states.

Benefits provided
During the training period, selected students will receive free food, accommodation, a uniform allowance, and a stipend.

Number of seats
A total of 220 seats are available across six AFMS nursing colleges located in Pune, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Lucknow, and Bengaluru. 

Selection Process
Selection will not be based solely on NEET (UG) 2026 scores. Shortlisted candidates must undergo a screening process at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt, comprising a computer-based Test of General Intelligence and General English (ToGIGE), a psychological assessment, an interview, and a medical test.

Fees
General category candidates are required to pay an online application fee of ₹200, whereas the application is free for SC/ST candidates.
