Kolkata Metro New Timings: There is good news for Kolkata Metro commuters. Metro Railway has decided to increase the number of trains on the Blue Line and Green Line. Additionally, the operational timings have been revised; the window of service has been extended by 45 to 50 minutes. On the Blue Line, the service—which previously started at 6:50 AM—will now begin at 6:00 AM. Similarly, the last train on the Blue Line will now be available at 10:30 PM instead of 9:44 PM. On the Green Line, the first train will start at 6:00 AM instead of 6:39 AM, and the last train will run until 10:30 PM instead of 10:05 PM.
When will the new Metro timings come into effect?
According to Metro Railway, the new schedule will be implemented on an experimental basis starting July 27. The objective is to provide better connectivity and a more convenient travel experience for passengers. Extending the service duration by approximately one and a half hours daily will allow more people to benefit from the Metro service.
First Metro to run at 6:00 AM
From Monday to Saturday, the first Metro on both lines will depart at 6:00 AM, while the last train will be available at 10:30 PM. On Sundays, however, Metro services on both the Blue and Green Lines will commence at 9:00 AM and continue until 10:30 PM. Blue Line

According to Metro Railway, increasing the number of trains and starting services earlier in the morning will provide greater convenience to students, office-goers, and other daily commuters.
