Bangladesh President Mohammad Shahabuddin has decided to resign from his post. According to sources, but he is waiting for the return of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed before submitting his resignation. Bangabhavan officials and a source close to the President gave this information. Although no official announcement has been made yet, it is believed that due to his relations with Sheikh Hasina, he is under pressure to step down.
According to the PTI report, after the student protests in July-August 2024, Shahabuddin is the only leader among the leaders of Sheikh Hasina's Awami League government who still holds the top post.
