USA AI Investment: America will spend $5 billion on scientific research using AI.

USA AI Investment: The US is looking to AI to accelerate long-standing scientific research. The Trump administration recently announced an investment of $5 billion (approximately Rs 48,250 crore) in AI . This money will be used to use AI to find cures for diseases, accelerate the development of new medicines, and develop stronger building materials. This means the US has pinned its hopes on AI to solve problems that have persisted for years. It's worth noting that scientific research has accelerated since the advent of AI, and projects are underway worldwide to develop new medicines and find cures for diseases .

Scientists will get advanced computing resources

Michael Kratsios, US President Trump's chief technology advisor, stated that the White House is bringing together agencies working in different domains to work for science. Officials stated that scientists working in this program will have access to the US Department of Energy's advanced computing resources, including supercomputers, specialized AI tools, and government datasets. It is reported that a total of 15 agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Energy, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Defense, and the Department of the Interior, will be involved in this program.

AI models will be trained using government data

AI models for this program will be trained using government datasets. It's worth noting that the US government has large datasets related to various areas, including healthcare, chemicals, and critical minerals. By training AI models on these datasets, patterns can be identified, making predictions and answers to questions easier. Research conducted using traditional methods, rather than AI, can be time-consuming. Microsoft has also announced its participation in this program.

Zuckerberg is also looking to cure diseases with AI.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently invested heavily in a project by his wife Priscilla Chan's startup, Biohub. This project will use AI to understand how human cells function. If successful, it could make it easier to find cures for diseases. Meta has invested $500 million in this project. This money will be used to create AI systems that function like human cells.
