Music composer Amaal Mallik has launched a scathing attack on fellow composer Tanishk Bagchi, making a series of serious allegations in a lengthy post shared on X. Addressing Bagchi as "Mr Remix & Destroyer of Originals," Amaal accused him of plagiarism, taking credit for songs created by others, orchestrating paid online campaigns against him and speaking negatively about leading names in the music industry. Among his biggest claims was that Tanishk allegedly secured work on the blockbuster Saiyaara by taking credit for a song that was originally created by Faheem Abdullah and Arsalan Nizami. The allegations come days after Tanishk publicly raised concerns over royalties for the film's title track.

In his post, Amaal Mallik said he will show Tanishk Bagchi his 'aukaad' and alleged that he secured Saiyaara through unfair means. Amaal also claimed the composer took credit for a song that was originally created by others. Referring to the film, Amaal wrote, "If I speak up about how you bagged the film #Saiyaara, and stole the song right under Faheem Abdullah & Arsalan Nizami's nose to make Mohit Suri take you in the film, then you will know. They will, out of respect, not support me."
He also alleged that Tanishk had spent significant amounts on paid public relations campaigns to target him online, calling the alleged behaviour 'unmanly.' The post comes shortly after  claimed he was yet to receive Rs 8 lakh in royalties for the Saiyaara title track. Yash Raj Films, however, denied the allegation, stating that all contractual payments and royalty-sharing obligations had been fulfilled.

Mallik also claimed that he warned Tanishk to not remake Masakkali and Aashiq Banaya Aapne. The singer-composer added, "Should I tell the world how you gave me a swear and asked me to leave certain films and songs cause you had bills to pay." He revealed that Tanishk was recommended by him for the film Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya.

Backing the production house, Amaal praised YRF's professional practices and accused Tanishk of being ungrateful despite the studio supporting his work. He wrote that YRF was among the easiest production houses to work with and alleged that Tanishk had deleted his earlier post following intervention from director Mohit Suri.
further escalated the dispute by accusing Tanishk of repeatedly copying songs instead of creating original compositions. Calling him 'a bloody thief,' Amaal alleged that many of Bagchi's so-called original songs were inspired by Pakistani music, folk melodies, other composers' work and even YouTube covers. He also claimed that the Saiyaara title track borrowed from Humnawa Mere, adding that singer Jubin Nautiyal allegedly chose not to comment publicly because he was associated with the same film.

Amaal's criticism extended beyond music, as he accused Tanishk of privately speaking negatively about several influential figures in the industry. He alleged that Tanishk frequently criticised T-Series head Bhushan Kumar at private gatherings but would never publicly confront him because of the label's influence within the music industry.
He also claimed Tanishk spoke negatively about Yash Raj Films despite continuing to work with the banner. In addition, Amaal said he had once recommended Tanishk for recreating 'Tamma Tamma' but insisted he no longer viewed him as professional competition.
Ending his post with a warning, Amaal accused Tanishk of damaging the reputation of the music industry and cautioned him against provoking further confrontation. As of now, Tanishk Bagchi has not publicly responded to Amaal Mallik's latest allegations.
