Material
250 g paneer (big cubes)
½ cup thick curd
3 tablespoons of fresh chives
1 tablespoon cashew paste
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp green chili paste
½ tsp black pepper powder
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp chaat masala
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp cornflour
1 tablespoon butter or oil
Salt to taste
Capsicum and onion diced (optional)

In a bowl, add thick curd, taji sai, cashew paste, ginger-garlic paste, green chilli paste, black pepper, garam masala, chaat masala, lemon juice, cornflour and salt to make a smooth mixture.
Add paneer pieces and if desired onion and capsicum to this mixture and mix gently. Cover the bowl and keep it in the fridge for at least 30 to 60 minutes to ferment.
Place the grated paneer, onion and capsicum alternately on the skewer. If you don’t have a skewer, you can also fry directly on the pan.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and roast for 15 to 20 minutes. Turn once and apply some butter on top. Fry on low to medium flame until golden brown on all sides if making it on a griddle.
After roasting, sprinkle some butter and chaat masala on top. This gives the tikka more flavor and attractive taste.
Serve piping hot malai paneer tikka with mint chutney, onion wedges and lime wedges. Everyone will love this dish as a starter or snacks.
