Arsenal and Tottenham are preparing to go head-to-head for Nusa after the Norway international boosted his standing at the World Cup, according to The Sun. The 21-year-old has become one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards after a strong Bundesliga season and an impressive tournament, where he made six appearances and scored Norway’s first goal in the last-32 win over Ivory Coast. His displays have increased interest across the continent, although Leipzig are staying firm on their £51 million valuation.

Arsenal and Spurs weigh moves

Arsenal are taking a measured approach before making a formal move, with the club waiting to gauge interest in Gabriel Martinelli. The Gunners are not actively trying to sell the Brazilian, but an offer of more than £51 million from Europe or Asia could alter their position. Leandro Trossard has already joined Besiktas, while Christos Tzolis has arrived from Club Brugge. Arsenal also missed out on top target Morgan Rogers after Chelsea completed a £117 million deal.

Spurs are just as keen, but they must first reduce their squad. The futures of returning loan players Manor Solomon and Mikey Moore need to be sorted out before Spurs can make an official bid.

European competition grows

Nusa’s admirers go far beyond the Premier League. AC Milan and AS Roma have already opened direct talks with the winger’s representatives as they try to move ahead of the English clubs. The same report says Milan see Nusa as a priority target and hope to fund a deal by selling Rafael Leao, while Roma are ready to test Leipzig with a £38 million offer.

Meanwhile, Spurs still have space for one more winger after injuries ruled Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert out of the club’s pre-season tour of New Zealand and Australia.
