Manchester United may have given their clearest indication yet that Marcus Rashford still has a route back to Old Trafford. As per the Mirror, club officials have invited Rashford to take part in the upcoming Amazon documentary, a move that may look minor on the surface but carries plenty of meaning once the background noise is set aside.

For a player who has widely been seen as surplus to requirements, that invitation is significant. Rashford has not played for United since December 2024 and the expectation had been clear: get him off the books, reduce the wage bill and move on. Sir Jim Ratcliffe was reportedly keen on exactly that. Yet here we are, with United apparently keeping the door open.

The key point is straightforward: United executives have reportedly asked Rashford if he would like to be involved in the fly-on-the-wall series. If the club were sure he had no future in the squad, there would be little sense in giving him a role in a project meant to document the season ahead. The fact that he has been approached strongly indicates the situation is still active.

Rashford, who is now 28, is still considering his options.
