However, early findings suggest that WhatsApp is preparing a dedicated cloud platform designed specifically for securely storing chat backups while offering additional storage options.
Information about the feature reportedly surfaced in an iOS beta version of WhatsApp, indicating that the messaging platform is actively building its own cloud-based backup solution. Once introduced, users may be able to choose between traditional cloud providers such as Google Drive or iCloud and WhatsApp's native cloud service.
