New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) announced on Saturday that it has decided to halt its protests regarding the NEET issue after the government agreed to all of its demands. This includes the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the withdrawal of FIRs against demonstrators.

This development followed discussions between the CJP and government representatives, shortly after Pradhan revealed on social media that he had submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister.

Union Minister JP Nadda stated that the government would provide "honourable compensation" in accordance with regulations to the families of students who tragically took their own lives following the cancellation of the NEET exam, and confirmed that all FIRs against protesters would be dismissed.

"Since the government has accepted all our requests, we are calling off our protests immediately. We urge everyone to return home peacefully," said Saurav Das, spokesperson for the CJP, during a joint press conference with Nadda and Union Minister Jitendra Singh.

The CJP has been conducting a sit-in at Jantar Mantar since June 20, demanding accountability for the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and issues related to the CBSE's on-screen marking process, along with broader reforms in public examination procedures.

This movement has mobilized thousands of students nationwide and has garnered support from significant opposition parties.
