WiFi Calling Settings: If the mobile network in your home, office or any area is often weak, then now there will be no problem in making or receiving calls. The Wi-Fi calling feature available in smartphones is very useful in such situations. With its help, you can make calls through Wi-Fi internet instead of mobile network. Today this feature is available in most Android and iPhone smartphones.
Wi-Fi Calling is a feature in which phone calls are connected through Wi-Fi network instead of mobile tower. If the mobile signal in your phone is low but Wi-Fi is working well, then the phone automatically starts using Wi-Fi Calling. As soon as Wi-Fi turns off, the phone seamlessly switches to the mobile network.
There is no need to download any separate app to use Wi-Fi Calling. You can talk like a normal call from the same Phone App. This is a different facility from internet calling like WhatsApp, Google Meet or Skype, because only your mobile number is used in it.
Generally no additional charges are charged for Wi-Fi Calling. If your mobile plan includes unlimited calling or calling minutes, then Wi-Fi Calling also counts towards it. However, if you are using a paid public Wi-Fi, then you may have to pay a separate fee for that Wi-Fi.
Open Phone App in Android phone and go to Settings. If you see the option of Wi-Fi Calling here, turn it on. In some smartphones, this option is found under SIM Settings, Calls or Calling Accounts. If the phone has two SIMs, first select the SIM on which this feature is to be used.
iPhone users can turn on this feature by going to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling or Settings > Cellular > Wi-Fi Calling. If there is more than one SIM in the phone, first select the corresponding SIM and then turn on Wi-Fi Calling.
If the mobile network is weak in your home, office, basement or any such place, but Wi-Fi is available, then Wi-Fi Calling is a very useful feature for you. Once you turn it on, you can get a better calling experience.
