Real Madrid’s top brass have changed their position on the immediate future of young striker Endrick at the club. This comes amid the belief that another summer exit for the 20-year-old cannot be ruled out.
Forward Endrick, of course, spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign playing on loan away from Spain’s capital.
After finding it difficult to get minutes in the opening half of the season, the Brazilian was sent to Olympique Lyonnais, with the aim of helping him rediscover both form and fitness.
And the move turned out to be a major success for everyone involved. In total, across 21 appearances in all competitions, Endrick produced an impressive 16 direct goal contributions.
The expectation, therefore, was that the youngster would be given another opportunity to show his qualities back in La Liga next season.
As mentioned above, however, that may not actually happen. According to a report from Real Madrid journalist Javier Rodríguez Pascual, writing for ESPN:
‘At Real Madrid, they no longer rule out Endrick’s departure this summer.’
The understanding is that, with room needed for a new signing, the South American and Gonzalo García will have to compete for one place in José Mourinho’s squad.
Endrick, for his part, wants to stay and fight for playing time in Madrid this season.
