There is a good news for iPhone users who use WhatsApp. iPhone users are likely to get a new update soon. The Meta-owned instant messaging app is planning to introduce a refreshed message bubble design for iOS. With the new update, message bubbles will appear rounder than before, and shared media will appear on the display without the traditional bubble borders. This new design is compatible with Liquid Glass interface. There is no official word yet on when this new message bubble design will be publicly rolled out.

According to a report by Wabetainfo.com, WhatsApp is testing a redesigned message bubble for iOS. The new interface is currently available to select beta testers running the latest TestFlight build. A screenshot has also been shared in the report. Which highlights the gap between old and new message bubble design. While the current message bubbles have slightly rounded corners, the new design has a more rounded and gentle shape. It resembles Apple’s iMessage chat bubbles in the latest style. These new changes also complement Apple’s Liquid Glass design language.
This redesign will also change the way media content is viewed in chats. According to the report, photos, videos and GIFs will no longer appear in message bubbles with traditional borders on WhatsApp. So now this content will appear without border. The update is expected to reach maximum number of users in the coming weeks.
