Ram Charan, known for his role in Peddi, recently faced a hand injury while filming. Reports indicate that the actor sought medical attention after sustaining the injury during an intense action scene. Medical professionals recommended surgery to avoid potential long-term issues. Fortunately, the procedure was successful, and he is currently on the mend. The surgery took place at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore.

A source informed a news outlet that Ram's surgery went well, describing it as a complex operation that was executed with precision using laparoscopic techniques. Although his team has not released an official statement yet, the insider confirmed that he is recovering positively.

During the filming of Peddi, Ram also experienced a minor injury to his left eye. The production team reassured fans that he was in good health following a brief medical procedure. They stated, "He will return to shooting tomorrow without any delays in the schedule. We appreciate the concern, but there is no need for alarm. Everything is under control, and the film is progressing smoothly."

At the trailer launch of Peddi, Ram shared how he incurred the hand injury. He had requested the director, Buchi Babu Sana, to hire trained professionals for the wrestling scenes. Instead, the director opted for actual wrestlers, leading to an unexpected incident. Ram recounted, "As soon as they said 'action', they grabbed me quite forcefully, resulting in a cartilage tear." The film was released in theaters on June 4, 2026, featuring co-stars Janhvi Kapoor, Boman Irani, and Divyenndu. Despite receiving mixed reviews, Peddi achieved impressive box office success, grossing Rs 244.54 crore domestically and Rs 341.79 crore globally. Looking ahead, Ram is expected to collaborate with director Sukumar on a new project alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu, although no official announcement has been made yet.
