Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Welsh youth international Kit Margetson.

The 19-year-old arrives at the club from Swansea City, with both sides having agreed a compensation fee for the player.

Margetson is the son of former Manchester City goalkeeper Martyn Margetson, who also played for Huddersfield Town and Cardiff City before moving into coaching.

Last season, the Wales U21 international spent the campaign on loan from Swansea City at Connah's Quay, where he helped the team qualify for European football.

Margetson is expected to start his United journey with the U21s, with the likes of Senne Lammens, Tom Heaton, Dermot Mee, and new signing Karl Darlow ahead of him in the pecking order.
