Taking a big step towards the economic empowerment of women, the Delhi Government has approved the Delhi Laxmi Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible women will be provided financial assistance of ₹ 2500 every month. After this decision of the government, a large number of women reached Delhi Secretariat and expressed thanks to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The women expressed gratitude to the government, calling it a decision that will bring economic strength in their lives. He said that this assistance amount will help in meeting household needs and becoming self-reliant.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, while addressing the women on the occasion, said that the registration process for Delhi Lakshmi Yojana is going to start from August 1. He said that the government wants to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach the eligible women in a transparent and effective manner. The Chief Minister said that the trust and support of women is the biggest strength of the government and with this belief the government is taking forward public welfare schemes.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your love, trust and blessings. Registration for Delhi Lakshmi Yojana is starting from 1st August. This scheme is an important step towards respect for women power, self-reliance and economic empowerment.
He further said that his government is working with full commitment for a better future of every daughter, every sister and every family. Making women socially and economically strong is one of the priorities of the government.
Delhi Lakshmi Yojana is being considered as one of the major schemes related to women welfare of the government. Under the scheme, an assistance amount of ₹ 2500 per month will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of eligible women. The government believes that this will increase the economic participation of women and they will become more capable of meeting the needs of their families. Political and social experts say that this scheme can play an important role in strengthening the financial security of women as well as making them self-reliant.
Delhi government is continuously emphasizing on implementing various welfare schemes for women.
